I love working. I love Mondays. I used to really love working under deadline pressure and once worked 20 hr days for 3 weeks trying to get a big grant application done (including weekends, and ended with a 32 hr effort to the finish). I can't do that kind of thing anymore, though, ran into a whole pile of horrible health issues that all turned out to be stress, diet and exercise related. So I've had to force myself to bring back some balance in my life which is hard, work can be a bit addictive.

I love to tackle a job and GET IT DONE. What drives me nuts is when someone interrupts me or tries to micromanage. I've been in charge of big projects and they always come in under budget and under time. UNLESS my director gets involved. Thank GOD retirement is coming in Feb. The older I get, the harder it is to keep my mouth shut.

Tell me what you want done and then get out of my way.

I'm not a complete idiot--there are parts missing!

What you have become is the price you paid to get what you used to want.

I work in a dog kennel, and it's nice to be somewhat busy so the day goes by faster. If we're swamped, it's pretty miserable. Holidays are a total drag. Who doesn't love spending Thanksgiving scrubbing piss off the walls and being jumped on by dogs that have just stepped in their own poop?

I'm such a whiner.

In my line of work it seems you are either swamped or you have nothing. I would prefer a happy medium but if I had to choose between the two I prefer being swamped. Time goes by so much faster and I usually have a feeling of accomplishment when I am done at the end of the day. When its slow it feels like a waste.

I like to be busy, or I find that I don't get much done. I really need deadlines and pressure to be at my best or I procrastinate.

Exactly AlexS. That is how I am. I work so much better with deadlines and pressure. Down time tends to make me lazy.
