It's filthy with deer here, peops are hitting them all the time. Glad your mom was ok, I heard on the news, deer are the most lethal animal in North America, they cause more deaths than any other animal. I will give kudos to the 8 or 9 deer that hang around my road, they wait nicely on the side of the road and wait for cars to pass, quite road savvy.

We would have but it was dark, cold, I was sick, we had picked up our Japanese food for supper and I was really hungry. Oh, and my mother is a big wimp so she went straight home without stopping. (Sorry, Mama but it's true. ) But it happened in front of a known druggie house so I didn't feel like dealing with any high-out-of-their-mind idiots who could be armed and dangerous.

I hit a huge buck a few years ago in my little Honda Civic. I also didn't see it and hit it square on. $11,000 worth of damage to a brand new car, but I was fine. Police officer looked at the deer and my car and said he couldn't believe I was standing there. Always hit them square on if you have the choice. Glad your mom is okay.
