Digital SLR Cameras - whatcha packin?

I just got my first digital SLR camera - a Nikon D5000. I love it so much!! It's fairly easy to use and oh just a joy to work with!

Well I've now had time to fiddle around with the camera... here are some photos that haven't been altered other than cropping and resizing. The photos of the guy (my brother) are taken in low light... I need to figure out how to work it better.

I can't wait to learn the ins and outs of this camera - I am SO excited. I love my new baby!!

Beautiful photos! We just bought a Canon Rebel T1i. I am sure I will like it if I ever figure out how to use it. Waay too many options. I am stuck on which software to load so we can look at the few pics we have taken. Glad you are enjoying YOUR camera.

    I really want a Canon 500D (T1i).
I'm stuck with a crappy canon ixus 70 at the moment, which keeps breaking! :P
Hopefully I'll get the T1i or a new computer for my birthday. (In 2 weeks!!!)
We used to have a canon 1000D.

    Pics I took with it:

My digital is a Nikon D40. Here's a photo taken with it. A filter was put on the lens for this photo, I'm not sure which filter I grabbed, I think just a softening/blurring one. Umbrella lights and a black backdrop were used, too.
