I believe in both! My family thinks I'm wierd cause it doesn't scare me, in fact if facinates me. Don't have any E.T. stories but I do have ghost stories like...
Dad seeing my grandpa drive down the main street 2 weeks after his funeral.
Mom finding the mail truck my brother put in my grandpa's coffin in his room about 3 weeks after his funeral.
Something turning up my radio real loud everytime I'd turn it down and I was the only one in the room.
My brother and I watching a glow-in-the-dark leggo float across the room and again we were the only ones there, and sitting together so if he had moved I'd have felt it and seen his outline in the dim room.
Spent the night at a friends house and we were using a ouiji board. She didn't want to use it after midnight and I said okay. At a little after 11 she went into the bathroom and I continued to use the board. When she came back into the room and saw the clock reading 12:30, yelled 'NO', I jerked and sent the planchet slinding off onto the floor. We both kindof laughted about the time thinking we'd miss read the clock (no way she was gone for an hour and a half) turned on the radio. It started playing and then we remembered that we had unplugged it cause it was polking me in the back. Double checked and it was unplugged! Checked for batteries and there were none! About that time it quit playing.
Had a friend stay the night with me a few weeks before halloween and she thought it would be fun to bring over her brothers copy of the Necranomocon (sp?) and read it. After that night when the room would be dark you could see an outline and eyes looking at you. Never did anything and I did eventually get used to it (if I waved my hand through it it would go away for a while and I'd be able to get to sleep) but it creeped out several of my friends till they all got used to it to.
The house my parents live in you could put your hand on the wall and you know how eventually your hand will heat up the wall and it wont be cold anymore? Yeah this house never warmed up and would make your hand cold. It also gave me the shivers till I got used to it and now it's dead (see next story).
My mom and brother have seen a figure in my parents house. My mom called him Oscar, said it just seemed right. Then I moved back in with them while going back to school and Mom says I scared Oscar away. The walls also now will warm to the touch.
My older brother (the scardy cat) stayed in my parents house alone one night and the lights kept coming on and the phone kept ringing. He says he could hear foot steps but everyone was out of town. He called me at work (I worked the night shift then) and made me come over after work and spend the rest of the night with him.
I have more stories but I think that's enough for you all.
