Do you believe?

Do any of you believe in the paranormal or extra torestrial? Most certainly share stories youve heard or any encounters!

No, I do not believe in the paranormal (I used to, spent a few years trying to find out as much as possible about the paranormal, but instead everything 'unexplained' was perfectly explainable once I bothered to look closer.

As for extraterrestrials, only in that it is more likely life formed more than once in the billions of galaxies then only once.

I definitely believe there could be life somewhere else. I couldn't think that Earth is the only planet with life since outer-space is absolutely endless.

OMG! This thread was made for me... Seriously. I have STOOR - IES!

Story one:
When I was younger, I remember watching an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" (I HATE that show), on this episode they had a boy who was claiming to have had an alien encounter. He said that when he was a young child an alien had come through his window as he was sleeping one night, peeled back his covers, lifted up his pajama top, and started doing funky stuff to his stomach.

So, after watching that as a child, I would NEVER, EVER sleep with my window open (even if my room was 500 degrees), and always slept on my stomach. Yes, it sounds insane, but it really impacted me. Today I am able to sleep with my window's open, BUT I still sleep on my stomach or side always, never on my back. I have been ridiculed by my family endlessly, and to this day I am unable to watch anything alien related.

Story two:
One night back when I was a little tweenie bopper, I had woken up in the middle of the night, and it was storming. Of course I was scared (I still get scared while it's storming) so I got up and went to find my mom. As I walked around the house, I noticed that there weren't ANY lights on, the power had gone out, AND my mom and her boyfriend were missing. Just as I realized that, I saw a really BRIGHT light in my bathroom, I went to go investigate, thinking it was my mom. As I rounded the corner, I noticed the light was coming threw the window, I got really scared because we lived on the second floor at the time, and the light was coming from above, like there was a helicopter, or something outside shining a light into our windows. As I backed out of the room, the light followed me into the kitchen, like what ever it was, was rotating around my house. It followed me into two different rooms, I was careful to NOT step into the light, because... Well I thought it was aliens looking to adduct me. After what ever it was rotated around my house, it was left just as suddenly as it appeared. About thirty minutes after what ever it was left, the lights came back on, my mom came home, and I came out from my hiding spot. Oddly enough no one else saw anything.

I have a ghost story too, but I figure my post is long enough. lol

I think its pretty egotistical of anyone to think that we are the only intelligent life in a universe as vast as the one which we are a part of.
As far as paranormal activity. I sure hope no one I know is stuck floating about here on this little mud ball after they died. I've never met any of them if they are.

I believe in both! My family thinks I'm wierd cause it doesn't scare me, in fact if facinates me. Don't have any E.T. stories but I do have ghost stories like...

Dad seeing my grandpa drive down the main street 2 weeks after his funeral.

Mom finding the mail truck my brother put in my grandpa's coffin in his room about 3 weeks after his funeral.

Something turning up my radio real loud everytime I'd turn it down and I was the only one in the room.

My brother and I watching a glow-in-the-dark leggo float across the room and again we were the only ones there, and sitting together so if he had moved I'd have felt it and seen his outline in the dim room.

Spent the night at a friends house and we were using a ouiji board. She didn't want to use it after midnight and I said okay. At a little after 11 she went into the bathroom and I continued to use the board. When she came back into the room and saw the clock reading 12:30, yelled 'NO', I jerked and sent the planchet slinding off onto the floor. We both kindof laughted about the time thinking we'd miss read the clock (no way she was gone for an hour and a half) turned on the radio. It started playing and then we remembered that we had unplugged it cause it was polking me in the back. Double checked and it was unplugged! Checked for batteries and there were none! About that time it quit playing.

Had a friend stay the night with me a few weeks before halloween and she thought it would be fun to bring over her brothers copy of the Necranomocon (sp?) and read it. After that night when the room would be dark you could see an outline and eyes looking at you. Never did anything and I did eventually get used to it (if I waved my hand through it it would go away for a while and I'd be able to get to sleep) but it creeped out several of my friends till they all got used to it to.

The house my parents live in you could put your hand on the wall and you know how eventually your hand will heat up the wall and it wont be cold anymore? Yeah this house never warmed up and would make your hand cold. It also gave me the shivers till I got used to it and now it's dead (see next story).

My mom and brother have seen a figure in my parents house. My mom called him Oscar, said it just seemed right. Then I moved back in with them while going back to school and Mom says I scared Oscar away. The walls also now will warm to the touch.

My older brother (the scardy cat) stayed in my parents house alone one night and the lights kept coming on and the phone kept ringing. He says he could hear foot steps but everyone was out of town. He called me at work (I worked the night shift then) and made me come over after work and spend the rest of the night with him.

I have more stories but I think that's enough for you all.

I do think there is more life out there than what we realise. A lot of the "seeings" out there have been staged while I believe a lot of others have not. How could we really rule out there isnt any??

My older brother when he was in his late 20's said he did once see something that looked like a satelite at distance. Wasn't a specific shape as it was to far away but it did look like a satelite, he then saw it shoot away and disappeared the way a star would.

Would I say for sure they are there, no but can I rule them out for sure, no.

I don't believe in paranormal. I think that they who have crossed the limit of a death and a life have crossed it for good (except The Last Judgement, I'm a christian but I'm not sure if I'm in believe or not. But I don't make inroads on it now).

I also think that there aren't extra terrestrial life at least in our Milky Way. But in the outer space, who knows...
