    Thanks guys - I'm taking notes!!!
    I took them both for a swim in the river yesterday and they'll do the same again today and then another wash over with all the ingredients mentioned. They aren't as bad as they were but amazing how it lingers
    They live outdoors in a kennel and run attached to the barn which they usually have the run of but are currently banned from there as everything they seem to rub against also stinks. They weren't allowed to stay on the deck once we realized how badly the smell got into everything else they got in contact with and how far it seems to flow. I've had to burn all their bedding so they have shavings until the smell stops spreading onto other stuff - my son & I did the bathing thing and had to throw away everything we were wearing as the smell got onto them and even a wash didn't work. His trainers went into the bin but I seem to have reduced the smell on my very cute, new flowery garden wellies by spraying with Lysol several times a day
    I'd like to think they'll learn from this but know for sure they wont!!!!

    A few years ago when I was a YUPPY. I had white and beige carpet and furniture. I also had an almost white schanuzer. One week this idiot somehow managed to find and annoy a skunk at least 3 times. My young daughters thought the skunk they saw through the window was a cat that wanted to play. So they let the dog out to keep it company. The skunk being anti social showed its true colours and the dog trying to protect the children from the fierce deadly unfriendly skunk got sprayed.
    With the dog promptly running into the house and rubbing up against the furniture.
    I was told to use vinegar on the dog and the furniture and the results were amazing. Your dogs will smell like pickles but that will be an improvement. Shalom
