There is not too much call for that here. Most cowboys train their own regardless of how bad they do it.
Because you think I'm all full of fuzzys with the job I have? It is a very rewarding career and we do care for the people not ABOUT the people. There are various degrees of that of course but my job ends when they make it alive at the hospital.

I just quit my job and started new. It was because my old job was taking too much out of me emotionally. The people were great, but after being all laughy and smiley with them all day, I didn't have anything left for my family. At my new job, the people walk around like they have broom handles strapped to their backs and I swear black dress pants are a uniform! How dull. ANyway, my point is, SMROBS, that if you are truly unhappy at work, definitely find a way out. Change won't be easy and it isn't always greener on the other side, but a different green is nice after a while for sure.

What about working with troubled kids BEFORE they end up in jail and doing it with horses or dogs? Very popular therapy and I've seen it work wonders. Or with disabled people? You have a skill set that is worth money in the right field. You just have to find what's right for you.

No, I couldn't work with kids because I don't like kids and you have even less ability to control them than you do adults. Where I am at, you cannot do anything with kids. What I mean is that if they are causing problems, all you can do is talk to them and even if they assault you, you are not allowed to even use force to restrain them. I would just much rather get out of working with people in general. I am not a very social person (I didn't even hang out with people until after I had graduated high school and moved away from home). Also M2G, I was not implying that your job is heaven or anything like that. I just feel that life is too short to spend in a job where you are miserable. I am only saying that I am miserable where I am and I want to get back to what I knew and loved growing up; riding horses and working cattle.

Good luck. I hope you find something. If not at that ranch, somewhere else. I know what you mean about people. I'm the same way.

Thanks and I'm sure that I will find something. I have time and will not be committed anywhere until next spring when my lease is up. I appreciate your support.
