End of Semester

So as the end of semester stress is really starting to intensify now, I wondered if anyone else was in the same boat as me? Exams? Deadlines? How do you make sure you fit in time for hobbies and horses? What are you studying or writing for at the moment? Or maybe you have kids or grandkids going through this right now?

I'm making this topic as I procrastinate over finishing a genetics/bioinformatics dissertation. I've got a presentation for it on Thursday (which I hate doing), then the 6 000 word paper has to be bound and submitted by the 4th May! Exams follow until mid-June and I'll finally be free of the undergraduate degree! :D

I'm torn about fitting in riding because it dramatically lowers my stress but at the same time, I don't want to take my stressy butt and put it on my horse! Sometimes I just like to do groundwork and grooming :>

Just do some groundwork. Duncan picked up on my stress yesterday, for sure. He was very prancy and snorty (or was it from the mares? :falloff:)

^I wish I could throw together projects in a day, lol. I envy that you've finished.

I've got 3 * 2hr exams and 1 * 3hr exam between the end of May and the beginning of June. At least 50% of each of those consists of essay writing - not my favourite under pressure.

Put the horses last on the list. If you have time to ride - get a ride in. Otherwise - give them hugs and kisses and come back to them next week. I know it sucks but School really needs to be number one. Horses can be number one next week....

Putting horses and riding first is a huge mistake that we all tend to make...
