Ever had one of THOSE days?

Today started just peachy, today ended with me not wanting to walk very far.

Checking hooves while grazing got me at least one broken toe.
Walking thorough the house, I caught the rough sawn table top and it fell on the back of my leg and ripped some hide off, and somehow punctured the opposite foots big toe right under the joint.

In a few hours I wounded both feet pretty good.

Just one of those days.......

I once had my toe stamped on as I legged someone up onto their horse. The horse stamped hard and skewered around on mt toe.
That hurt but I was really busy so carried on working.
When I got in that evening I saw blood on the kitchen floor. Examined all the dogs and then realised there was more blood by the sink where I had been washing up.
On removal of my sock I found my toe had been split open from the joint over the top and under the bottom to the joint. I knew it was broken when it happened but never realised it was split open including the toenail.
Started hurting once I had seen it!
Soak in the bath, wash with Hibby Scrub, piece of dressing and duct tape did the job of holding it together.

You know you're a horse person when you refer to skin as "hide" hehehe.

I hate days like that when everything goes wrong at once.

Inclined to Agee with you!
I rarely ever take pictures of my injuries because I'm to busy cussing at my stupidity or dealing with blood!

I never get much of a bruise, sure, I can knock myself and have a bruise but not be able to tell you how I did it. Get a real wallop and there is no mark just a hard tightening of the skin.
I took a nasty fall when a horse went down with me. He tried not to stand on me as he got up but clipped my eyebrow with his back foot. I had to have several stitches but no black eye to show for it just a very swollen face.

Duct tape fixes everything. It's fixed two broken toes and a broken finger for me. Would probably have fixed my broken arm too but the nurses were all old-fashioned and used this stupid plaster cast thing. Pft, what did they know?
