Hello everyone. Hope you are having a good week. Have been playing dodge ball with the rain here. Literally started as I put gas in lawnmower yesterday evening. Oh well may this evening.

Hope you have something better plans than grass cutting. What are they? What's on the menu?

Noticed some new posters here lately. Welcome. Feel free to jump in. This is for everyone and any and all subjects welcomed.

Anyone watch a show called equitrekking? I assume it's a PBS show, as where I see it. They go to different places and ride. Last night it was the Biltmore House. Looked really cool.

The exciting part for me is we are one week away from the Derby. Well technically a week away from the Kentucky Oaks, which is for the fillies. There is a thread in horse talk titled horse new which has some discussion. Will post a Derby and Oaks thread when official entries are known. Check it out if interested.

Anything else on your mind toss it in.

Hi Happy Friday, nothing much going on here, cleaned the bathroom and the tub, which really needed it, kind of an ugh job but needed doing.
Soon we are going for a drive and plan to have lunch in a small town about 20 min away, this restaurant has great meals and lots to eat, we usually bring some home for supper, so no cooking for me today.

I haven't seen that show Eqitrekking, shounds interesting so will try to find it on tv.

Maybe cut the grass either today or tomorrow.

Exciting life I have.

I love the show Equitrekking, though I find the host a little cheesy :) Unfortunately it's on one of the special PBS channels (Create TV I think) so I don't get it with my current satellite package. I used to watch it all the time when I lived in a place with cable. I like to go on rides when I travel to new places, and I often start at the Equitrekking website to see if there are recommendations about reputable barns that give people who know how to ride a good experience.

Happy Friday to you as well. :)
Beautiful day here, going up to 80F. I'm at work, but my boss is taking us out to lunch for belated admin day. :D At Big Fish Grill. Shall be good!

I may ride tonight as well.
Nothing exciting for me LOL...my lesson is earlier though, to beat the heat- my trainer switched to the summer schedule. It's at 8:30 not 10am anymore, so I will not be able to sleep in on Saturdays anymore. :( LOL but it's all good, it's for riding not work so I can't complain.

Gotta clean my place this weekend, and of course Sunday din-din at my parents. Not much going on. :( Sorry to disappoint, nothing exciting here!
Just got paid today, and my rent came out...woooooooo

BUT GLAD IT'S FRIDAY!

I have to pay as well. It's a small package that includes a weird mix of things. Some outdoor channels, another History channel, and some sports from like Big 10 or something. Good to know someone else gets it. At times I want to vent ha ha. I literally had to order a new remote control because I wore out my mute button.

Yes, I hate most of their hosts and rarely watch it except when the stakes are running on weekend afternoons. I really miss HRTV, was so much better, and they had great "after hours" programming like the show Inside Information. They also showed lots of other horse sports in the evenings. I do like the new RIDE TV channel, which fills the gap of other horse disciplines.

Before anyone thinks all I do is watch TV, I basically only watch things that I've DVRed (or "taped" for all of you old enough to get that :)) and tend to do so early on Sunday mornings before stores open and I can get on with my errands.

I watch a good deal. Talking about nonsense during post parades if at the top of my last. A lot of the times it's like they are trying to talk about anything but the horses. Some of the hosts are ok. I love Britney and Christina. Matts ok, just be careful letting him talk you into his latest 8-1 wonder horse. Todd has gotten bitter about something. Rich also, to some extent. And I like Rich. I have two that I call the &$@ brothers. Can't stand them and the seem to be on more and more. I think one came from HRTV when they merged.

Happy Friday to everyone!! Will be another cool day here with the high of only 7celsius...but the sun is shining at least!

I'm not too sure how this weekend will pan out. I'm trailering Amber to lesson tonight. My plan afterward is get her put away, unhook the horse trailer, then high tail it to my parents to watch hockey. Oilers play Anaheim tonight (Go Oilers!!) and I will actually be able to watch the game. Since my parents' are leaving today for their summer job, I will probably just spend the night at their place.

Saturday weather actually looks decent so maybe I will go riding and get started on cleaning out my flower beds.

Dinner tonight? Well, I bought pizza last night for my folks and there are leftovers. So might have that...or maybe oatmeal. LOL.

Happy Friday!!!

Soon as we get off of work we are high tailing it out of here! Heading down to Shelbyville (right near Louisville actually ) for a horse show this weekend! Hoping to ride my mare through a trail course tonight as we are debating entering her in the Half Arabian English Trail class on Sunday. So, if not tonight, maybe tomorrow after our classes. Show both days this weekend. I'm super pumped! But it's supposed to rain tonight and into tomorrow morning. Then hold off until Sunday night. Hopefully it keeps holding off a bit!

As for food, well, not sure. Guess whatever we decide to grab when we get down there

Happy friday everyone!

I just had my last ride for a while on the pony, since I'm leaving on sunday. Going to the US for the first time! Pretty exciting but right now I'm at the stage where I havent started packing, and I just had a major breakdown when I found out I cant unlock my phone to use it with a US sim since its not in my name. Found a site that may work though, so I'll try that. Slammed with last-minute details for the trip, also slammed with work (its a company trip so were trying to finish everything before we all leave) and I have to set up a website for a school project since I'll be leaving my 'group' alone for 3 weeks and they dont have experience with website building. I honestly dont know how I'm going to fit it all in, but I'm just trying not to think about it to avoid panicking lol.

I will be in NYC on derby day so I might catch a derby party somehwere, but I honestly dont have much of a clue about racing, no idea who's running.

No special plans here. I too have some flowers that need planting so I hope to get around to it. I'll have to go dig up some dirt because what was in my planters really settled over the winter so they're only half full now. Who knows what's for supper, I'm hoping we can make do with leftovers. I made chili earlier in the week and there's still some of that, last night I made pizza so that's in there too. Hubby isn't much a fan of leftovers but tonight he can suck it up or eat a lunchmeat sandwich, the fridge needs cleaned out to make room for next weeks leftovers. LOL

cold and rainy here, as usual. we've had the wettest winter in 122 years!!! and that says a lot for Seattle; rain capital of the US.
but, the flowers are still blooming. I have Dr. Suess pink trees in my backyard, and lollipop tulips in my front. I love it when I look out my kitchen window and see neighbors stroll past my garden, and stop to smile and admire my flowers. makes the backbreaking work worthwhile.

Almost. backbreaking is right. went to doc today since my back has been awful now. got in injection in the SI joint (yow!!!). hope to feel better soon. I've been grinning and bearing incessant back pain for nearly 10 years.

Hi everyone!!
Another saturday morning for me! Sadly stuck in the office ALL weekend! But can't complain to much as had the last 3 days off, and I have Monday/Tuesday off!
So after work I'll be heading straight to the stables and hopefully getting a good ride in!
Otherwise work is quiet, so I may linger around on here :D
