First off, we went across a suspension bridge. Cool, very wobbly, but pics just show us standing on a steel and wood bridge. Great views during the whole tour.
Then off to do a tree-top walk: 10” wide walkway about 60 feet up. J First pic is looking forward where I'm going. Next is my foot from the same position, looking down of course.
Then a short (300’) zipline and a tour through some neat crevices. But the highlight was this 1000’ zipline. Awesome fun, but over too fast and far too much braking power. **** insurance companies. In the pic, you can’t even see where it ends. I have a great video of our son just disappearing into the distance!
This is the same zipline from the lower level. You can just barely see the “stairs to nowhere” in the upper right. Follow the cable line and you’ll see them.
The older boys went back to the campsite, but our younger son and I came back for more touring and found an awesome playstructure. Supposedly rated for 5 – 12 year olds, but I wouldn’t let my 5 yr old on this thing: It’s about 30 feet tall. Good thing our kids are bigger now!
Then we went out and about, got lost in the bush, toured around and found Metcalfe Rock. Very cool part of the Bruce Trail. Pics don’t do it justice. Had to have been somewhere between 200 and 400 feet tall. I’m not good with judging that kind of measurement.
We also went go-karting, mini-golf, batting cages and generally had a great time. Can’t wait for next year’s trip!!!!! The boys want to go sky-diving. I dunno about that...
Sorry the pics are so small. I don't know why. I'll try to get the second pic of the zip-line up bigger so you can get some idea of what it is.
