Well, Joe, last year Stevie Wonder performed at a festival on the Isle of Wight. This is not a pop festival but known as a Bestival, for all the family.
My nephew and nieces, aged then, 17 - 23 all went as well as many other of their friends. All said that Stevie Wonder was one of the best they have ever seen perform and, they have seen many!
Music is a funny thing. I would say that I do not like Barbershop quartets but, when the World Champs (Texans) came to stay in a friends hotel, I really enjoyed them singing, the reason for this was because a) they were very good. B) they had a great repertoire and c) they sang because they loved singing. The fact tat they enjoyed it passed to those listening.
It is the same with any music, if it is good, easy on the ear, then it can be pleasurable even if it is not your genre.
I draw the line at rap.
