Favorite Quotes - Horsey or not

So, I'm a bit of a nerd and have a white board in my barn that I like to put inspirational quotes on for myself and my students. Always looking for new ones, so please share!

Here's what is currently on my board:

"The road to success is always under construction"

"Choose your attitude at the door, your horse & instructor will thank you for it"

"Elbow grease is the best tool in your grooming kit."

Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, Capture the good times, Develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, Take another shot.

"Whether You Think You Can or Can't, You're Right"--Henry Ford

That quote can be applied to anything in life.

You want the truth? You can't HANDLE the truth!

This isn't a quote from anyone famous or anything, just something I like to live by and continually try to drill into my dramatic child's brain.

Why waste your precious energy being miserable?

"Tape an aspirin to it, you'll be fine"

"There are 3 types of people in the world; those who learn by reading, those who learn by observation, and the rest of us just have to piss on that electric fence ourselves"
BFFofHorses likes this.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Kevinshorses used to have one in his signature from a paraphrase of Tom Dorance concerning horsemanship

It's knowing what happened before what happened, happened.

Think about what happened just before what happened, happened.

Think about what happened just before what happened, happened.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

"Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades."
"Go hard or go home."
"Earned never given."

"And somewhere in the northwoods darkness a creature walks upright. And the best advice you may ever get is: Don't go out at night..."

"Kyllä se elämä kantaa" ("Life will always hold you").
"Parempi pyy pivossa kuin kymmenen oksalla" ("A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush").
"Kuolema kuittaa univelat" ("Death will cover the sleep debt").

"Ei oo, ei tuu, ei heru, eikä tipu
Tämä elo on kuin kivinen perunamaa
Ei oo, ei tuu, ei heru, eikä tipu
Sieltä ituisia perunoita aina vaan saan"

Stig - Perunamaa
