It's warm here today, well relatively warm anyway. It's 52 degrees and has melted all the snow and ice, thawed the ground just enough that my pasture is a mud hole and my horses all look like pigs. Another 50 degree day tomorrow and then Sunday is supposed to be back to the norm for this time of year with a high of 27 and snow.

I've rode 4 horses, gave 2 lessons and am in long enough to have a cup of coffee before I head out to ride a couple more. It's too bad it couldn't stay like this.

Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, Capture the good times, Develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, Take another shot.

Our pasture has been a mud hole for over a month. We can't even walk in it. I push my geldings feed pan under the fence and stand there with a lunge whip to keep the naughty pony away. I'm hoping after today it dried out a bit.

I have two words for you...shift work. Work second shift, ride all morning! I don't get how anyone can work "real" hours.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

It was 18* this morning with blowing snow here in Idaho. It got up to 23* still blowing snow. It is now 13.5* with a 5.4 mph wind with more predicted for tomorrow.

Enjoy your balmy weather .
