The fire has picked up again. It had probably become the biggest fire on the us now, for it is around 250,000 acres now and moving rapidly to our outside pastures. Evacuation is becoming more possible by the hour. I'll try and keep you updated.

    Another update.

I got a call from the sheriff's office. Sounds like we may have to start packing up the valuables.
The fire is completely out of control.

BB - Your Ashland fire is just north of where I'm working.

Wyoming's Arapaho fire is just a few miles east of my home.

We just sold all our cattle last week because of the drought and then opened the place up to everyone bringing what cattle they could find off the mountain. They have to supply their own hay and water, our place has neither grass nor water anymore, but it's something.

I'm hating to see what's going on up your way.

And we are thinking about you and hopeing for rain to put out the fires.
    Regards from michael from england.

The fire has died down today and the threat of evacuation is no longer here as of the moment. We are going to be spending a very safe and boring Fourth of July here, worrying about the fire.
