    first day at Westview!!

Was a total and complete success!!

I made some new friends and didnt sit alone at lunch(which was my biggest fear)

I "bonded" with my homeroom/biology teacher, so now she knows me and i'm on good terms with her(she used to ride horses!!)

So all in all it was a pretty good day

You'll probably meet lots of different groups of people before you settle down with your real friends, so don't worry if they don't seem to be turning up right away or you get left alone at first. Don't be afraid to go up and introduce yourself to a group; it really does work.

First days can be really scary - I moved to a new school for sixth form (last two years of school) and it was really intimidating as I didn't have much self-esteem and was bullied a lot in my old school. But I pretended to be far more confident than I was (day two began with me on a balcony yelling, "I am the evil warlock and I have concealed your magical powers in this cup!") and do you know what? I actually became that confident. Within six weeks I was a totally different person and when I left after two years I had achieved so much and felt great about myself.

Take advantage of things being new and scary - there's no one to point and laugh if you mess up :)

Yay!! I'm really glad your first day went well! First days/times are the hardest and most stressful day for A LOT of people. And me!! Lol
