I think your tat looks awesome.

I agree about the spine being the worst. I had one done on my calf a few years ago. It's about 12 inches by 3 and took nearly an hour and a half. I fell asleep during it, of course I'd worked a 12 hour shift just before that.

The spine didn't hurt me at all lol the spots that hurt the most were my bladder area (OUCH) and the side of my hip ( where the fat is on the back ) I have no idea why because there is no bone there, but holy cow did it hurt!

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo when I'm older and I'm wondering how much one on your ankle would hurt versus on your wrist.

I really like how you changed the design and it looks good. Very pretty!

I also have one around my ankle and it wasn't too bad until they got to the back where it was right on top of my achilles tendon. I could not stop my foot/leg from twitching and jumping around (completely involuntary) so I had to have a friend hold my leg still while the artist finished.
Kayella likes this.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I had the same problem! He'd hit a nerve, and my thigh would twitch involuntarily. He told me not to kick him, which I'd never do I had to keep my thigh tensed the whole time to make sure it didn't jump anywhere and he'd screw the tattoo up.

Any kind of scent and dye free lotion is fine, I don't think any are better than another. I used Udderly Smooth and Aveeno. Just keep it moist! If you don't feel the lotion on it, apply more. You can't over do it. And do not pick or scratch!

Looks great, by the way. How much did it cost?

If there is no scab - you should be fine with your normal moisturizer. You know what already works for your skin type.

Remember sunscreen though!

Oh, and don't go swimming. Protect it from sunlight while it's healing to prevent fading.
