Other than the security, I dislike the cold in flight, its awful. It's hard to remember a sweater when it is 100F outside, but you won't be sorry if you bring one.

Noted and added to my list of things to pack in my carry on =) Is it really that cold in a plane?

I am so excited guys! There's only about a twinge of nervousness now because my excitement is taking over

I am happy you are excited. The novelty will wear off...so enjoy!!

Not every flight is cold, the shorter "puddle jumper" flights do not seem to get cold. But, there is only cold A/C you can adjust to cool you down, and it's often welcomed for a short time after take off...however, there is no heat. Best to be prepared, I never fly w/o a sweater in hand. Just as full disclosure...I am from the desert, I don't handle cold well.

So I survived my first ever plane ride yesterday

While going through security my dad had forgotten that he had a large brand new can of shaving cream in his carry on which got thrown out by security Also I wore flip flops and they made me take them off I was a little upset because then I had to walk around barefoot ~gross~

So I was still extremely nervous getting on the plane I actually kinda teared a little bit =P (I know I'm such a chicken) And during the take off I held my sister's hand so tight I'm surprised I didn't break it lol. My dad said he looked at me while we were taking off and the look on my face made him think I was going to jump up any second and say I needed to get off the plane. ~thanks for the faith dad haha I have a bit more self control than that~ Once we got up though it was really cool looking

~~Also!! We went to Hogwarts today! It was AMAZING! THe ride inside the castle was awesome. Also went on the dragon coasters my sister. I got a collectible character wand from the Owl Post store and my sister and I bought some Pumpkin Juice from Honeydukes. OH MY WORD pumpkin juice is delicious! And for my favorite part we all got some Butterbeer. I had the normal kind and my sister got the iced kind so we could each try both...Not going to lie that was the most delicious drink to ever grace my tongue! So yummy!!!

I took over 500 pictures today haha I just couldn't get enough of everything.

Some pics of us having fun with our Butterbeer and the last one is the ever enchanting and magical Hogwarts!

Everyone has pretty much covered it. What I like for a carry on is my small backpack containing my laptop and some books.

Also bubble gum...My ears pop super bad so I chew that and it helps.

I'm a bit claustrophobic so don't particulary like the close quarters of a plane. But I love the power of the surge as the plane seeks altitude and then I fly higher than the plane and it takes about two hours after we've landed before I come down.

Phantomcolt, the novelty is over now, next time will be like riding on a bus in the sky, along with uber annoying security on the ground.

Tell your dad not to sweat the small stuff. When we came back from Alaska, my husband insisted on packing (he hadn't flown for awhile) and he put all my NEW Estee Lauder make-up and skin care things inside his shoes in his carryon. Naturally they got thrown out and I was absolutely furious, because I had warned him not to do it. I can't remember when I've been quite that angry. He just didn't get it.......UNTIL I took him with me to replace it and he saw the bill!
