Happy Friday everyone. Who still has Easter candy left? Boy time flies, remember talking about who got what last year. I got some Reese's shaped like bunnies. Pretty good.

What's going on in your world?

On your mind?

Of course supper ideas. I am fresh out.

And in the totally random department, Mountain Monsters is the most ridiculous show on tv. What is yours and why?

Add in anything you wish.

Happy Friday!!! I still have one bag of mini-eggs left and some hershey's kisses.

Not much going on here....fence building this weekend so it will be busy just with that. Doubt I'll have much time to go running or do horse things. Just as well...I re-sprained my bad ankle again yesterday when I was playing with the dogs. Will try to run at lunch today and see how it feels, but mileage runs are probably not going to happen for another week :(

I think tonight I will be kind of lazy - maybe just make some flatbred pizzas. Last night was chicken noodle soup. I don't enjoy cooking; especially when it's nice outside and I have projects to do. I need to get outside after work and do more demo on the old fence and get my tools all organized for tomorrow morning.

I wish I had cable so I could watch tv. Sadly, we do not. So I just buy a lot of DVD's from amazon or watch netflix. Just got my latest amazon order in the mail - some random movies I ordered: Beetlejuice, Horse Whisperer, A Time to Kill, Legends of the Fall & Dances with Wolves. One I need to order and totally forgot was A League of Their Own. Great movie.

When we used to have cable, my bad vice was watching the Bachelor or Bachelorette series. I feel shame...LOL.

Happy Friday, I didn't buy any Easter candy before Easter as we have no small children but I do buy it after when it is on sale, got some nice stuff this year. Some boxes of Chocolates for half price, I take them when I go visiting as a hostess gift (nothing like being thrifty is there, great as long as they don't say Happy Easter on them) and I also got some nice chocolate candies, I am going to a horse auction tonight, so supper will be some french fries at the chip wagon, then easter chocolates to finish off with, a nice healthy meal ehh?
I don't really need any more tack and definitely not another horse but it is a social time visiting with friends and maybe seeing something that I would like. I usually get a couple of nice saddle pads that way.
One sale a few years ago there was a nice saddle pad and it only went for $3 I bought it and we used it to sit on as the benches can get hard and uncomfortable, it was worth it for that only but I am still using it so a very good buy.
We had an inch and a half of rain yesterday so things will be muddy over at the barn so may not ride today. Sis was hoping for rain as she wants to roll her lawn, guess she got it, and here's hoping she isn't asking for any more.

Happy Friday.
Although, not so happy! I have tonsillitus, AGAIN. Need to get my tonsils out soon.
But I have an appt with an ENT dr next month so that's good.

I am just working, rainy day here. I do have some Easter candy left. :D Definitely going to enjoy it once I'm better.
Tomorrow's my riding lesson of course, it was supposed to rain but it's not until Sunday so that's a plus. Won't be canceled. :D

Other than that, not too much going on.
Probably having soup tonight for dinner. Wooo!

Happy Friday!!

Not much going on here, just tons of work. I'm so swamped at work that I feel like I'm in over my head. May have to work a weekend or two pretty soon and I hate that.

I've been wanting to go shopping. There are some new stores that have opened close to us that I want to go to and the outlet mall too. I love wearing interesting socks, but I haven't shopped much in a while so all of my cute socks are about worn out. The place to get the good ones is at the outlet mall. But, DH has been out of town for three days so I kind of just want to spend the weekend with him around the house. Shopping may wait until next weekend. We just bought a tractor - very old and used but runs. We need to do some work on it including mounting new tires. I may just stick around the house and help out with that.

I don't know what's for dinner yet. Possibly soup and grilled cheese. Something easy!

I haven't ever watched it but on one of the cable channels is a show called Naked and Afraid. It looks like one of the stupidest shows ever! I get the whole "survival" thing, but why do they have to be naked? Everything is blurred anyway. If you want to have a show where everyone is naked put it on HBO and don't blur everything.

And Get Off My Lawn while you're at it! LOL! (I do sound like an old lady now.)

Random thought: I keep seeing these infomercials for Time Life Rock and Romance CD collections. Occasionally I will stop and watch for a little while so that I can sing along with all the great music! Those things are expensive though!! I'm not sure if I can bring myself to pay that much for CD's. Remember when you could join the music clubs, I think it was Columbia music record club, or something like that. Your first 10 albums/cassettes/CD's were free and then you'd pay like $9.99 a month for more? I guess now you can just download music. No need to check the mailbox everyday to see if your music got there. :dance-smiley05::dance-smiley05:

Oops, I almost forgot (thank you for the edit button) I still have a few jelly beans left from Easter. It's a weakness! And there are just too many jelly beans that you can't get except at Easter time.

I see those commercials for the cd things every now and then. They play last night on a channel I switch to that isn't to bright and I cut sound off just to have something on. Usually after racing is over. They show coin collections, and I know those are a rip off.

Talk about a useless information post.

Happy Friday all.
I thought this weekend was never coming after working last weekend and during the week. The next couple of days will be as lazy as possible. Like others, with the good weather I prefer to potter about outside. I’ve spent the late afternoon sitting in the garden cleaning the saddle that belonged to my second horse; it’s no-longer used and I’m thinking of selling.
I’ve absolutely nothing planned for the next couple of days except perhaps a ride with a friend and some gardening; there’s been very little rain here so the ground is hard and will need watering before anything can be done.
No one in the family eats chocolate Easter eggs and neither can I so I don’t buy them. Although, I did watch my work colleagues slowly eat their way through a very large basket of mini-eggs that was continually topped-up by a member of staff, so I’ll be surprised if they didn’t feel ill after them. No one owned-up to having a chocolate hangover by the end of the week!
This area loses tv reception as the leaves come on the trees, there’s no cable and even those with satellite seem to have trouble. The picture will break-up until autumn so it’s very difficult to watch; I get out of the habit of turning on the tv even for a DVD. Over the past few weeks I’ve been watching old westerns (Texas from 1941 was hilarious yesterday) and comedies (Last of the Summer Wine, Still Game, Blackadder and Keeping up Appearances).
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Happy Friday ya'll!

I worked a little earlier today (I am a massage therapist) and then went to the barn to check on my new horse Silvia. She arrived yesterday and is settling in way quicker than I would have imagined, which is sooo nice to see!

I absolutely love the white chocolate eggs that come around Easter! I could literally sit and eat a whole bag of them. I also love the Starburst Jellybeans! They have a bag of just the red kind which is perfect.

Tomorrow my husband and I are racing all day (and probably night) and then Sunday should be a much needed rest day. My other hobby is cars, and my husband and I each have a race car. This is racing season, so we have been going non-stop since mid-March...whew time is just flying by!

Dinner was Cinnamon Toast Crunch LOL

Hey all! Sorry about your tonsils @PoptartShop. So glad your new horse is settling in so well @DubyaS6!

I don't get Easter candy or eat it. Weird, I know, but I don't have a sweet tooth. Not even half of one. I don't get the attraction to sweets. I must have a gene missing or something.... but don't worry, I make up for it with my salt cravings.

Kids got very little chocolate since they're getting older. I found out the artist I commissioned to do a painting of my daughter and Harley did a whole other painting of Harley by himself. We already have the one of my daughter and Harley and it's beautiful. I'll see if I can attach a photo. But the artist thought Harley was so gorgeous, she decided to do a painting just of his head, from the same photo I provided her. Only a little more stylized and fairly big. She's putting the painting in a show, but has told me she'll give me first dibs. She sells her paintings like hotcakes so I told my daughter if she wants it, she needs to help pay for it. My daughter has over 400$ saved up, but never uses her own money for anything. I think she should this time.

Supper? My husband and I were invited to a colleague's place for drinks so we nibbled there. I'm not real hungry, but I suppose I should have something. I got the kids Chinese food so I'll probably eat the leftovers.

Here's the painting commissioned of my daughter and Harley. The photo does not do it justice. My jaw dropped when I first saw it. This one was a gift from my parents, but the other one of just Harley will cost us 475$ if we decide to buy it. But really, how can we not???

beautiful painting @Acadianartist. I would love to have a painting of my own horses to hang on the walls.
@DubyaS6, glad to hear the new horse is settling in so well. Do you have pictures of her?? I LOVE having cereal for supper..it used to be my favorite thing. I had to stop buying it though since I binge eat on it. Good luck racing...what kind of cars do you race?

#14 ·
I have a couple of pictures that I have yet to upload LOL. I'll try to get to that very soon. I've been trying to stay out of her way a little and just let her settle, so haven't really been bothering too much...but it's coming!

It's hard to eat just one bowl of cereal. It takes a very special person with self-control to keep it to one haha

We drag race! I have a 1997 Nissan Silvia (see where I got my mare's name?!) and my husband has a 1997 Toyota Supra. We recently went to an event where I won the class (he red-lit due to a bump box malfunction)! I've got lot of pictures of those too...I'll post some for you to see when I get Silvia's uploaded ?

Happy Saturday All! ;)
I'm in Australia, so it's almost Saturday lunch time for me!
Sadly I'm at work! (clearly working VERY hard) :D

BUT going down to the stables after work at 3.30pm, so at least I have a good few hours of daylight, and tomorrow off which is a nice change! (always work weekends sadly!)

Otherwise, for suppa last night I had... leftover roast lamb, basic, but delicious!

Hope everyone has a great night!

I'm like @Woodhaven and like to buy my Easter candy after Easter. Trouble is I haven't gone to town since Easter and I'm not going to make a 28 mile round trip just to buy candy. LOL Hubby happened to go this evening and it didn't even cross my mind to go with him and have him drop me at the store while he ran his errands.

That said...he brought me home Taco Bell for my supper, he had Burger King, and the dog got left overs of chicken breast and some candied yams mixed in his dry food. I think the dog had the healthiest meal tonight.

When you have satellite you pay a lot of money for junk not worth watching but of course to get the channels you want you have to into that top tier. This weekend Dish is giving us free HBO & Cinemax channels and there's nothing on them either.

No plans for the weekend really. Would have liked to go down to Louisville for the fireworks tomorrow night (technically tonight since it's past midnight) but the weatherman is calling for rain off and on all day AGAIN (it's been 3 days of it so far). Might decide to jump in the truck and go at the last minute if it clears up. Best seats we ever had was the year we got stuck on I65 right at the bridge. Yes, they shut down the interstate traffic for the fireworks at least they did. Don't know about this year since they started tolling and won't want to lose any toll money.

Well I went to the auction last night, we had french fries and chocolate for supper, I do believe in healthy eating.
I got a few things, nothing much, Sis got a nice bridle, and a bridle, breast collar for the pony.
After that some horses sold, the highest selling for the evening was a mule, he sold for over $4000, there were about six horses after that, the most horses will be sold today, Sis is going again but I'm staying home, maybe do some housework

Happy weekend!

Yesterday I went to the leather shop to get my bridle shortened for the little Arab face, bought leather cream, some new reins, and a phone holder thingy. I love visiting the leather shop. I could go on a crazy money spending spree every time I visit.

Came home and read 'Razor Girl' by Carl Hiaason. I adore all his books and laugh out loud by the way he turns a phrase.

I ordered an outdoor patio set on line and it arrived yesterday. But with it raining I can't put it together and then enjoy it! Today is a good day to finish the book and do nothing. Not even clean the house.

Beautiful painting @Acadianartist. Wow! So real-life like!
@Woodhaven the auction sounds like fun, mmm french fries :D
Plus, I'm sure you got some good deals!
@sarahfromsc the patio set will be nice...once the weather clears up! I'm dying to sit on my patio too!
@JCnGrace did you end up seeing fireworks?

HAPPY MONDAY...ahhh the weekend went by too fast.

I did have a good lesson Saturday (in the rain! LOL) but it was off & on all day. Yesterday, rode Redz he was very good, then on a whim while I was putting Redz back in the pasture, my friend asked if I wanted to go trail at Fair Hill. I was like sure! I took a different horse though because Redz was already worked LOL & we did a trail that was like 2-3hrs long.
I'm super sore!

Sorry for the late reply.

I went to the Mane Event in Red Deer yesterday and watched 6 demos, including the Alberta mounting games and ran into my former trainer of all people. What a small world. Yes this is the trainer who kept saying that I shouldn't be riding Fly last year. We had a small chat, watched the first demo together and then parted ways. She didn't ask any any details, she just asked if I still have Fly and how things are going.

Well I was able to do well in the race I competed in on Saturday. I ended up runner up in my class, Outlaw Street.

I won't get into too many details since it's boring car stuff, but since @cbar asked me to post some pictures, here are a couple:

Here I am strapped in ready to make a pass

Here is one from the cruise that we had to make before the racing started

https://flic.kr/p/U6mseU https://www.flickr.com/photos/129359581@N08/

And here is a video of the finals, where I lost to a much faster car, but not by much!

Hope everyone has a great week!
