Very big weekend. Look for the Derby thread in the regular horse talk section, but glad to discuss here. What is going on with everyone?

Well...we have no water at our place. So I'm waiting for the contractor to show up to figure out what's going on. I've cancelled riding b/c I have no idea how long this guy will be here (when he finally does show up).

Other than that....looks like we will be doing some projects outside for most of the weekend. Getting the garden ready and working some more on the horse shelter we're building.

I'll definitely be watching the highlights on the Derby though!

Well think it's pretty clear this will be the last one. It's just run it's course. I have been thinking the same thing about me. This new format is difficult for something I really don't fit in. Will still check on/participate in the Derby threads.

Oh, Aubie! Say it isn't so. Many of us so look forward to your Friday night posts, it's become a regular feature. We're all dealing with frustrations of the new and improved (cough, cough) format. Is the older classic forum site easier for you to work with, perhaps?? It truly is a pain in the **** to have to jump from one to the other, depending on what you want to do here.

Hang in there!!!

Am I the only one that doesn't mind the new format ? I'm always on my mobile and I really don't find it that different. I've never had a like button on my mobile so nothing to miss....

When they switched to the new forum and was having troubles I went back to the Classic version and haven't looked forward again since.

We had our Mother's Day get together this afternoon so that meant I had to get up early today. Got home about 3:30, went and did my feeding/horse keeping chores then settled in to watch what races were left along with the Oaks. Woke up just in time to see riders up for the main race.

I'm looking for a livestream for the Derby. I would like to see as much of the pre-race show as possible. We don't have TV. And I'm willing to pay a bit.
Maybe try the NBC sports network because I believe they have exclusive rights to airing the races. Our local NBC channel couldn't air the races until a few minutes after they had been run...crazy. Anyway, they might have some live streaming but I don't know for sure. Any sports bars in your neck of the woods that you could hang out in for the day?

I'm curious about the live stream for the derby too!

I like the new format. I wish I had the "like" button back though. And I like the Friday night chat!

Hubby came home for the weekend so we are hooping it up in Wendover for the night, maybe brand calves on Sunday weat her permitting. The moms are too far away for any festivities.
