Gaaah! Why are people so... gah!

So here's my rant.
I just recently got a job (about... 2 months ago?) at a spectacular coffee shop, the area isn't the GREATEST, it's an industrial area, but not "shady", but there were extra precautionsx10 taken.
And yet, we were still broken into... last night, they took the safe, the computer (POS system) and apparetly we're missing a WALL!? How does that even HAPPEN!?
And HOW did they get IN? There are metal gates on ALL the windows and all the doors and...
I'm upset now, because I could have prevented it, along with a few other people, because there have been a few guys hanging around and scoping it out and blahblahblah but we didn't think it was a big deal, and it JUST opened two months ago, so it isn't exactly 'stable' yet, and all I can hope (since I AM the youngest employee) that I don't lose my job.

I doubt you'll lose your job, unless you left the door unlocked and was the last to leave or something. How do you think you could have prevented it? Even if you told the guys to leave, they could have scoped it out when you weren't there.
It's sucky, but that's why business owners have insurance and if they don't, then I don't feel badly for them AT ALL!
How are they missing a wall...? Like, is it a wall that is on the outside of the store? They could driven a car into it or something if that's the case.
Sucks that the store got broken into, but I don't see how they could blame you for it so I don't think you should be worrying about that!

It's a VERY new business, and from what I hear they lost a fair bit of money in what was stolen and repairs, and we're already fairly overstaffed. =P Kinda sucks getting like... 4, maybe 8 hours a week, but hey at least it's a job!

That's what I was thinking 'HOW are they missing a wall?' but I drove by and the entire front wall is gone... it's glass, the entire thing was shattered and the metal gates pulled out of the foundation. I don't understand how I didn't hear it, I live right down the street, but... construction in the middle of the night is common here (I know, strange... and annoying) so I guess that's why.

And, I meant to say WE could have avoided it but I was distracted, heh, and I tried to edit it but I was too late. Oops.
