    If you ever go through Elko, NV try the tongue at Bil Toki! It is yummy! And I usually don't eat tongue, that is one place I will order it!

    Never been a fan of Menudo, I have tried it many times, I can eat it though. Great for hangovers.

    Your eyeball story is gross..lol...I kinda gagged when I read that..lol

    Ahh I am not allowed to waste. Part of my religion.as well as my parents rules.if its on your plate you eat it.and finish it too.i am picky only when it comes to thing I really really don't like. I love veggies will eat most meats. Just not tongue,eyeball,brain,liver etc of anything. Seafood I will eat just fish and sometimes shrimp. I can't eat too much of seafood cause it makes me sick.

    Heck, you are what my mother would call a 'picky eater!'

    I hate to see good food go to waste and believe in 'head to tail' eating.
    Obviously there are parts that are not good to eat, intestines, bowel and bladder.

    One of my favourite breakfast feasts is Devilled Kidney and it is hard to beat liver and bacon.

    Yes, I have eaten brain in the form of brawn, a delicious dish served cold. I also love ox tongue and heart. One of the tastiest pieces of meat is the shin of beef as long as it is cooked slowly in a stew.

    As for fish and shell fish I love it. My father worked as a longshoreman for years so fish was always on the menu.

    Oh, one thing I am not keen on is tripe (cow stomach) I feed a lot to the dogs and although human fit tripe is what they call bleached, white as opposed to brown, I cannot get enthusiastic about it.
    Some years ago a friends father was very poorly in hospital. He had stopped eating and I asked him what he fancied. His immediate reply was "Tripe and onions."
    I managed to get some tripe and my Grandmother cooked it. She had been a cook and knew all sorts of recipes from heart.
    I took the pot to the hospital and heated some up in the nurses kitchen. He cleaned to lot up with some veg and mashed potato. The man in the next bed had been asleep and when he woke he said that he dreamt his mother had cooked him tripe and onion. He cleaned up a bowl. All these elderly folk couldn't get enough of it!

    Attitudes to food has changed a lot in the UK. My parents grew up knowing what it was like to be hungry during the depression and then with rationing during the war. We learned to eat what was put in front of you and if you didn't like it you went hungry.

    The other thing is that a heck of a lot of people do not know how to cook. Sure they can cook the better cuts of meat or, rely on ready meals. I could feed a family of four, all good eaters, for less than half they pay for ready meals and it would be healthier.

    When I had a lurcher (greyhound X dog) I would go out lamping at night for rabbit, wonderful meat. Hare is also good especially jugged (hung for at least a week) with red cabbage.

    Nope, I do not waste a lot.

    I've eaten rabbit. My roommate raises meat rabbits. I've also had squid and tons if seafood. I don't like fish but I'm always willing to try everything once. Had lamb chops last night. I've eaten rocky mountain oysters too. Liver is OK. Beef tongue is gross. Never had the brains but my grandpa ate them. Menudo is a cows stomach lining and is a great soup when your sick. I like food LOL

    Liver is awesome cooked properly, pressed ox tongue isn't bad, love oxtail, but it is so expensive now. Ox Cheek isn't bad, but I hated it when I was a kid and mum left the frilly bits on the inside of the cheek on, that was yucky.

    Gator wasn't bad, I like roo, Ostrich is good.
