Geocaching?

Hey all!
Just wondering if any other members on here enjoy geocaching! I love the thrill of finding caches and especially the fact that it helps you find cool areas that you might not have found on your own.

If you do geocache, what's your favorite cache size? I prefer the larger caches, but micros are fun for a challenge.
Do you prefer urban or rural caches?

This summer I plan on going on a geocaching trail ride or two, and I can't wait!

I was into it a few years back. For me it wasn't so much as finding the cache, as it was going for a long hike and discovering new places to get the cache. I'd probably get back into it if I had a little more motivation, and if I could find my cord for my GPS to download coordinates for the cache.

I do! I muggled my first cache in jan. But since then have found almost 30 more. I'm in love already. :) I love to hike and explore new places so caching is just icing on the cake. I definitely prefer rural caches.

Rather than geocaching which is quite popular here, my plan is to go treasure hunting at the local beaches plus an old homestead on my property. The beaches will turn up tons of pull tabs so I'll take somebody's kid with me. I was told they can buy someone a wheelchair. One time when the lake was low we were able to walk way out and we pulled an old swede saw blade about an inch below the surface, in the swimming area. Swimming areas are good for rings. When one goes in cold water their fingers shrink just enough to lose a ring, so when you think of heading to the beach, leave your good rings at home.

Ooooo!! I'm going to have to show this to my boyfriend. I think we'd enjoy this!

It's super fun! Geocaching.com has all the listings, you need to make an account to get the coordinates but it's free.
All you need is a GPS and a pen to sign off on the logs inside when you find them!
