Gettin extremely frustrated

Ok I have been gettin extremely frustrated with my Cowboy hat... it just doesnt match my head, I mean its just TO BIG! What I mean is, is that it fits my head fine as in the shape, but the fenders or whatever you call them are TOO WIDE! It looks like I got a radar disk on my head!!! Ugh... I need a cowboy hat that has abit smaller wings or whatever you call them...

I currently have a Pam leaf CB hat... I have spent 20 minutes today just tryin to shape the dang thing to get it right but no luck.. it just does not look good at all!!!

I am not tryin to impress anyone and the hat is great for this intense heat but it just does look good on me..

HEEELP!! Before I rip this thing in half! I am thinkin of goin to cowtown again tomorrow and look at the straw ones.. I am just fed up! My other dress CB hat, the fenders are to dang high and I am to lazy to get water and make some steam and fix it because its made of felt..

Green Broke
Did you try dampening it a tad bit and then bending the sides up?

I want a cowboy hat. I've never have that kind of hat but it would be cool 8).

Dampen the hat and tie up the sides with twine and let dry, worked for one of mine, also if it feels a little loose you can line the inside with paper towel for a better fit.

Or send it to a professional who'll fix it to fit the shape of your face or suggest one that would look better on you.

Is your hat shaped? Sometimes you have to get them blocked. Go to and look at the hats they have for sale, they'll have 3 different types of shapes you can see... I bet it's just not shaped yet....

I misread a post above as getting your face fixed to fit the hat ...

I meant to get you HAT shaped and not your face!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be totally honest cowbay hats are not meant to look good. They all look like the fenders are too wide. It even happens with me and my big fat It's just something that cowboy hats do!
