    Getting laid off of work

I've been depressed since Monday.... My boss came into my office on Monday night and told me that the company has to lay me off.

We're doing horrible financially here and I understand - but its still very sad. I have been at this job for 7+ yrs.

Since Monday I have sent out my resume to 7 companies and have not yet heard back from a single one.

My current employer told me he can keep me for 30 days at least. SO I have 3 more weeks to find a job. Scary times. Scary scary times....

I'm so sorry Kim! :( At least you have time, though. My aunt was laid off and they told her at 5 o'clock on Friday night that she couldn't come back on Monday. But anyway, it must stink. You'll be in my prayers for sure...I'll pray to God to send something your way. Keep your chin up, and keep us updated!

Sorry to hear that. That is terrible news and very stressful! I just had major hip surgery and have been off for the last 2 weeks. I am forced to take another 6 weeks off.

You will find something. Try not to let the stress get to you. You will find something else before you know it.

Sorry to hear it Kim. Do you qualify for unemployment? Be sure to get filed ASAP if you do. My husband has been laid off in the past, I know its pretty scary. Try to stay positive.

I know what you meen. My mom got layed off too in the summer and its been getting harder and harder to pay board each month and on top of that my BO raised board so guess what? Now I have to sell my horse because we just can't afford it. And my mom JUST found a stedy job about 2 weeks ago....

I am most concerned with losing my house and my horses. My husbands work has been slow (he is in home remodelling) and now with being laid off, ugh, I dunno. There is nothing at all in the paper today for me to even apply to.

I have sent my resume to 7 places with no response.

    Not good.
