    Post Getting In Shape

    This year I want to get fit. I've tried before but I've kinda failed at it and just stopped once I got busy. But this year I want to compete in dressage and actively ride more, so I'd like to build my endurance and core strenght. I don't really know what to do to get in shape though, like what excercises to do and what foods are best to eat. I don't want to go to a gym so I'd like some ideas for excercises I can do at home. I don't mind running and hopefully this summer I'll have a dog to go running with if things work out. Any tips, suggestions, workout plans, etc would be greatly appreciated. =)

    I do yoga sometimes. I just look up different yoga positions online and what they are for and do them at home.

    No help here for eating healthy though, I don't eat healthy I just eat less to lose weight.

    I have a wii and I have work out games I use. :) Like Wii fit and a 10 min work out annd a few otthers

    Well I have to ride my bike if I want to ride Buzz, haha great motivation for me to get fit.
    I also have a WII some of those games are sweat pouring, as long as you don't take the easy way out like just moving the wii stick instead of running.

    ^I cannot afford a Wii. All my money is going into getting stuff for my horse and I have no money left over for anything.

    Taking up running is always a good exercise. If you get a dog as well, that will help motivate you as well as keeping your dog exercised! :) I personally hate running. I don't know what it is about it but its so blahh for me. I'm more of a walker and I don't mean just "oh its such nice day for a walk", I mean walking with 3 foot strides and a quick pace. I too have started getting more fit this year. My mom and I have a monthly gym pass and we try and go to the fitness center everyday. It helps having someone there with you as well as a tv to watch to keep your mind off of getting tired and quitting early.
