Giza Zoo needs help!!

The animals at the Zoo of Giza,Egypt have been without food several days, possibly as long as 8 days in a row, since the demonstrations have started. It could be even longer. these animals are innocent, and trapped there. Please call your legislators and the Egyptian Embassy demanding the animals are taken care of and defended. Proof positive needs to be shown that their needs are being met.

I am in touch with a man who has family living with 3 miles of this zoo, and the situation is dire.

Please pass this to all of your friends and ask them to bring pressure so that these animals don't meet the fate of the animals in so many zoos where chaos reigns.

You can contact your federal legislators in D.C. Look in government pages for federal, or type in U.S. Senate and U.S. Congress. The phone number is 202-224-3121 for the Senate, and 202-225-3121 for Congress.

Tell them you want to speak to your states people.

And the White House has a constituent line also, and an e-mail address that you can access through the computer. Just type White House and you can get to it there.

And can type in White House, and write an e-mail. I have also contacted HSUS, SPCAI, and various international zoo associations worldwide as well as individual zoos here in states.

I have also written to Steve Irwin's zoo in Australia, and Israels too.

I will be calling my Senators and Congressmen on Monday.

The Egyptian government has blocked Internet and cell access now, and the zoo is government run and staffed.

I am in touch with a man with relatives in sight of zoo, who know what is going on. And the demonstrations are so very close.

Please spread the word, and even if you can just write a short note, copy and paste it into e-mails to anyone you can find.

I have also contacted a couple of journalists I know.

You can also hit FB, and type in Zoo, and find all the zoos with FB pages, and "like" them and then send a message to their curators too.

The more people contacting them, the better.

Thank you for caring and please share.
