Unhappy Going ABSOLUTELY CRAZY - vent

So a couple days ago my fiance' bought me an HTC Hero...I LOVE THIS PHONE. I am so addicted to it already.

Yesterday I used it to take some pics of the bulletin boards at the stable as I left...went to my car, loaded my stuff in and left. Get home...no phone. So I go back to the stable, not there, nobody has seen it. I go back home, turn on "family locator" (I have sprint) and it shows it at the intersection near the stable. So it dawns on me, I must have put it on the roof of my car while loading stuff and then when I turned the corner it flew, right.... So easy....I'll just go to the intersection and find it on the side of the road, no brainer, right?? It's obviously still intact because it was working enough for the locator to locate it.

So I get there and um...the side where it would have flown to is waist high grass!!!! I try calling it but then realized I put the ringer on silent while riding Cinny. I spent 3 hours searching last night. My fiance and I spent another hour this morning. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

It's bad enough when you loose your phone, it's even worse when you loose it, know pretty much WHERE it is, and yet...you still can't find the darn thing!! I'm going to go insane......and um, on my way to the hobby store to find a cheap metal detector ha ha.

Ouch! That has to be very frustrating.

Hope you'll find your phone soon.

Oh my!!! I hope you find it with no water damage! Did you have insurance?? I know the dew could have caused it to have water damage! I wish all the luck to you!

Ack, that's gotta be annoying! But I'm sure you'll laugh about it down the road.

Here's hoping you find it soon!!

One morning I got up and searched the house high and low for my phone, and couldn't find it. I called it and it was off, which was weird because I knew I had charged it the day before. I decided that I must have left it in the car, because like a brilliant dolt I am, I do that sometimes. Nope, not in the car. Something catches my eye by my foot while I'm fuming outside my car.... there's my phone... frozen solid into what had been a puddle the night before. It took a crowbar to get it out *sigh*
Anyways... I hope you find your phone, and soon! You aren't the only one who manages to lose your phone in silly places though. That phone's predecessor was put through the wash on accident (last load, I wanted to wash the jeans I was wearing...the rest is history.)

Oh wow....

Anyway, no luck with metal detector. My friend suggestion I cut the grass one handful at a time...RIGHT.

It was insured....but they only replace with "similar" phone and it may even be used or refurbed...I just want to cry

I looked again. I guess I'm too dumb to give up. You can now play connect the dots with all of my bug bites!!!!

OK, I think I am done now :( I just had my old phone turn back on. Kinda sad really.

I lost 3 in one of my paddocks.. the exact same paddock for each one >__<

Found the last one, only to lose it on a night out a month later S:

I resorted to starting to mow my paddock.. bad idea as I had/have no clue how to start the mower. :P
Eventually found it after giving up on the search haha.

GRRRR I just got a call from the stable. Someone found an HTC phone today. I'm on my way in hopes it's mine. If it is, then the "Family Locator" is off by um...almost a mile!!!

The locator could very well be off by that much, even most GPS' that you buy in stores can be off by hundreds of feet, and I can't imagine that the GPS in a cellphone is as good as those ones.

Hopefully it's yours!!!!
