Going to need MORE surgery, great.

Last year, I developed a growth on my upper back. We had it checked and it was harmless, just a fat deposit or something similar, so we were told to just leave it alone. So we did, and for some time things went on like normal, the only thing was that it kept growing, but actually thought nothing of it (big mistake). However, it quickly developed into a huge abscess (about the size of an egg!), it was red, it was HUGE, and it was painful. I couldn't sleep on my back, or even lean on chair backs or have anything pressing on my back, rather hard when I had to carry a school bag all day, and since I kept rolling onto my back in my sleep and waking up, I was prescriped with sleeping pills as I wasn't getting enough sleep due to how badly it hurt.

We scheduled an appointment to have it removed for two weeks on, and I struggled on as normal as I could, but one night I was at a friends party, and I had to leave early because the pain in my back got very bad, very suddenly. The next day when I woke up, my face, my neck, and my back was swollen, and I was in terrible pain, so my mother rushed me to the E.R, where it was determined that the abscess had "poisoned" my bloodstream, which is why I was all swollen, so I was put on an antibiotic drip, and booked in for surgery that very morning. The surgery went very well, and for the first time in months, even with the gauze and stitches, I could lie on my back without pain. I was in hospital for 3 days after surgery, on the drip as the swelling didn't go down as fast as it should have, and due to the nature of the abscess, I had a drain in my back to get all the "yucky stuff" out, so they wanted to keep an eye on me.

Everything has been great since then, except for a totally awesome, but annoying scar lol, but last month, I noticed that another one flared up, on the exact same place. I got it checked out today (it's very small, but still), and it turns out that my previous one wasn't removed fully, so it's going to happen again. But my surgery is scheduled for next month BEFORE it grows too large, I refuse to go through the pain I did last time.

Sorry, just wanted to rant I guess...

I'd be ranting too.....I'm not sure what constitutes malpractice, but I think I'd ask about how they missed it all before I'd let them work on me again.

Maybe you should find a new doctor?

We most definitely have found a new doctor, one who will do it properly this time, I really don't want to go through the pain I did last time.
