Good Free Kindle Books?

I was just curious if anyone had any recommendations for good cheap/free kindle books for download? I just got one for a steal and am looking.

Oh gosh, there are thousands if you do a search! I've had my kindle a year and I think I've bought two books, the rest have been free. What kind of stuff do you like?

Look for the older ones, many of them are public domain now so they are free.

You can go to and look in the Kindle store for free books. I like a lot of different genres, and except for a few books here and there (that cost 99 cents) the majority of mine have been free.

Great. I haven't had a chance to look from an actual computer so I figured I'd ask.

Also, another thing I haven't had time to look up, do you know if you can sync your existing Audible account with it. I have been a member since 2008 and love it! I just don't want to buy the audiobooks again.

On FB there is a page called "Pixel of Ink". Every day they link a few free kindle books in their status.

Mods, grant me the serenity to see the opinions I cannot change, courage to change the ones that should change, and the wisdom to spot the trolls.
