Is this true? Was it recorded? Did more than one source report this? If so, why is it not more widely spread?

Thank you. I am no Romney fan but I was a bit suspicious of that report. Just too unbeleiveable. A bit like something the Onion would write.

Of course it's not true - Way to go, Allison. Why is it that liberals are so willing to believe any old thing that is thrown out there?

And what does "his record stands for itself" mean? Can you be more specific? Or are you referring to the fact that he didn't volunteer during the Vietnam War just as Clinton didn't, Biden didn't, and Obama didn't volunteer during the Gulf War?

Uh, Face...no offense, but learn to read. I said in my OP that it was satire, but that his record speaks for himself.

He received four deferments to avoid service. That speaks for itself. I really don't think you want to compare Dem and Rep service records. Other than McCain, who is a true hero, There is hardly a comparison.

Face, unlike today's wars, Vietnam was not a "volunteer" war. Remember?

So what? Biden got deferments too. So did Clinton. So did Cheney. So did millions of other students and guys that had legitimate reasons. Heck, I had a deferment because I was in ROTC.

Do you consider that some sort of an issue? Why are you picking out one person out of millions and saying there is something wrong with getting deferments?
