So, everyone has blasted Obama for "friendliness". So, are you just as worried about this? If not, why?

Tranparency in donations is always a good thing - and it should be applied to everyone, equally. Otherwise, it is meaningless.

There is just as much horse sense as ever, but the horses have most of it.

I'm not sure what you are getting at. It is standard practice for ALL Presidents to make political appointments and grant other positions to campaign donors, local campaign chairpersons, and so on. Perhaps I missed where someone was critical of Obama of cronyism - it would be no surprise as most people don't know how the system works. But if you look at Obama's appointments (there are about 3,500 appointees), sure, he has used the appointment process to grant political favors. But so does every President - Republican or Democrat. That is part of the power of the Presidency. I don't particularly like it - I have worked under some pretty incompetent agency heads...being a state campaign manager does not mean one is qualified to do a job, but that is the way it is...it should not be something someone of either party should complain about.

Now - with that being said, some appointments are just plain stupid, but that is another issue. It doesn't make sense, for example, to appoint the CEO of a Wall Street bank that failed due to poor investments to a position as an economic advisor, or appointment a guy that ran 5 companies, all of which failed, to head up the Small Business Administration. Those kinds of things SHOULD be criticized - no matter which pasrty is involved.
