Goodbye Ziggy

Today while I was at work one of my oldest guinea pigs died. :( She was over 5 years old and the cutest piggy I ever owned.

She had lost a lot of conditon lately, getting very thin and shaky on her feet. This morning mum noticed she felt very cold so she bought her in but it was too late. Her friend Strawberry was snuggled up next to her, so sad :(

I have bought Strawberry inside for the night and she thinks it is great, she is a little shy but she walked around her cage and nosed everything, moved the bowls around then ate her dinner.

I am so glad I gave big cuddles to Ziggy on Monday, I have been working the last couple of days and haven;t had much time so have fed, watered, cleaned then had to run.

R.I.P. Ziggy, you are with your mama and papa pigs now :)

awww I'm so sorry Jaimie. Hang in there. I lost my guinea pig last summer. While I was away at camp. So I know how you feel.

RIP Ziggy<33

Thanks for your comments. I am looking for a Ziggy pic but I don't think I have one on this computer but I have a few of my other piglets...

This is Gerald and me (he isn't nine days, just a pic from a count down thingy)

Me and my precious piggie Frodo, I hand reared him

I actually had reared both of those boys from birth but Frodo was the most affectionate piggy to me. He was like a little puppy dog, that squeaked at me a lot!

Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm quite fond of guinea pigs as I use to raise them when I was younger. Then, when I had my own kids we always had a couple as pets for them. (They even had one named Ziggy!) We have a couple of rabbits instead, now, but I miss that WEET, WEET sound they make!
