Got Da Boot..

Just got back from the doctors (yes.... my hawt doc) and he fears that I could have a tear in my Achilles tendon. So Im stuck wearing a stupid walking boot for 6 wks give or take, and have to have an MRI tomorrow. There also could be some damage to other tendons in my calf/leg. I guess when he squeezed (as hard as I would let him) my leg there was very little movement in my foot. Apparently that's not good?

Anyway. Im laid up for 6 wks, which means no riding and I will have to put my horse search on hold for right now.

I will have to get some pretty stuff to put on my ugly boot.

I'll post pics of it later. Lol

Yee-haw. That sounds like lots of fun.............................not! :/ I am so sorry, that sucks. Did you have an injury or did it just kinda show up? I wish I could send you my gray horse on loan, you could ride him bareback and not worry about the boot. *sigh* Good luck, I feel your pain.

Honestly I have been dealing with it for several weeks, the ONLY thing that I can think of is when I dismounted off of Preacher (a lesson horse).

It might not have been as bad when I actually did it, but since I have ignored it for this long, it has gotten worse.

The boot seriously sucks because it makes my foot flex, and it hurts to flex.

I should have more info tomorrow after the MRI.

Well, got back from the specialist and basically don't know anything more than I did yesterday.

I have the official MRI is on thurs, and then I go back to the specialist again on monday. Not only am I in the boot now, I have to be on crutches.

The specialist did say that there is a tear in there, but to what extent it's not clear, and wont be until the MRI. I could be stuck in the boot anywhere from 6 wks to 6 mos. Right now I guess it's just a waiting game.
