hair dye recommendations?

I'd like to dye my hair red again, the last few times I've used Feria Power Reds by Loreal, and I really liked those dyes.
My hair is still dyed with henna from two years ago, half way down, and the rest it dirty blonde. I've never bleached my hair before dying it, with any dye.

I figured I would see if anyone else had a brand that they really liked. I don't want to get it professionally done because of the money it would cost, bf is buying the dye for me, so it can be a little costly, lol, but still within reason.

I recommend finding a near by cosmetology school.
There they will give you salon comparable coloring and styling for a fraction of the price you'll pay in a salon. Mind you it's polite to tip your stylist.

I just redyed my sister's hair red yesterday. I go to Sally's and get the separate color and developer, it's just as cheap as the box dyes and I find it lasts longer. I've used L'Oreal HiColor (L'Oreal Excellence HiColor Red HiLights) and the permanent Ion colors (ION Color Brilliance Permanent Liquid Hair Color) I've used the cream, liquid, and ammonia-free versions of the Ion, I like the cream the best because it's not as messy. L'Oreal was good for bright red, and lasted a good month and a half to two months. Sounds like you'd need a 20-volume developer (Salon Care 20 Volume Creme Developer), but you can ask the employees there, too.

Obviously going to a hairstylist will give you the best results, but I use Feria and have dark red hair that I get compliments on daily. It doesn't seem to fade as fast as other brands and doesn't seem as damaging either. I use a leave in color sealer by garnier that helps with fading, and a spray in leave in conditioner to help the damage dyeing causes.
