Hair Experts - I need your help!

I am in the process of growing my hair out. I want to grow it out fairly long - I think I have many more options when it is long. However, everyone has different opinions on it! I have a fairly round face and I personally would like to slim it down, not make it more pronounced. My mom likes it in a ponytail or pulled back somewhat. I don't mind having it pinned back some, but I would like to try having it around my face more. It will be better when it is longer, but I don't see why it is a problem even now at my current length. The picture of me with shorter hair is current. I don't mind that hairstyle, but it makes my face look rounder (I think). Once it grows out I want to get some layers - past my chin and then have it more around my face. Kind of like these pictures here. Do you think these would flatter my face or not?

Any advice I would really appreciate!

I honestly think what really flatters a face is a great smile (which you definitely have!) and a great attitude. If you were going for long and straight, that might not be the best option, but with some body and a few layers, I think it will look fabulous!

Thank-you! Well, I was thinking of growing my hair out much longer - however I would get lots of layers so it wasn`t just all hanging there. If I grow it out I would like to get a little height up top and then do some waves at the bottom - when it is layered. I don`t know, just trying to get opinions and ideas of what might work for my face.

Round faces are better balanced by long hair. You want to minimize the bulk around the face in order to decrease the appearance of the width of your face. If you have really thick hair like mine, get layers as they help to lighten and decrease bulk without losing so much length.
