hair transplant

Has any one had or know closely like immediate family that has had it done?

I received the opportunity to have it done as a test subject. The doctors knew what they were doing but needed more experience and practice for the nurses to learn.

I knew I have thinning hair and my father has lost some of his. I figured that it would be a good deal. I thought that the worst part would be losing my long hair because the would have to shave it short, which was more of an issue for my wife than me.

The worst part was having the local anesthetic injected. They said it would be uncomfortable or hurt a little. OMG! Not! They also said it would hurt for the next day or so. At least they weren't right about that.

I didn't know or think that I wouldn't be able to wear hat or anything on my head for a week. At least next week is suppose to be warmer, upper 20's or low 30's.

So I'm just curious of others experiences.
