Happy Solstice!

Happy Solstice! Did anyone else catch the eclipse? Luckilly my bedroom window opens up onto my roof so I was able to pop out on there during the peak!
It's about 5*F here right now but totally worth it!

NASA even has a live feed of it if you read this early enough.

Wow. When was this? I think Sunday night the moon was Huge!

Last night. :)

It was too dang cloudy for me to see it.

It was mega cloudy here so I couldn't watch it in person, but I watched NASAs live feed of it!

AHH! So THAT'S why it was so light out last night! Couldn't figure that out for the life of me

Winter Solstice with the eclipse is the darkest day. It's the shortest day of the year with the longest night and adding an eclipse to that makes it pretty crazy to see

We had too much cloud cover to see it.
However, I am heartened to be reminded that from now on, the days are getting a tiny bit longer each and every day. Living in the NW, it means a lot to us 'cause it's pitch dark here by 4:30.

Yeah I hate the short days as well.
