Yep, the women in my family usually all go to the Black Friday sales together and make a day trip of it.

Oh and being a Brit/Canadian, living in Canada, I don't celebrate your thanksgiving, I only humiliate my nearest and dearest for Christmas

Can you see how mortally embarrassed the poor boy is?

Well yes, of course. Must keep it in the holiday tradition!

I know you Canucks have a Thanksgiving GH, but I don't think it's quite such a big deal as ours, is it?

Not so much, it seems to be more of a harvest festival type festival, I've never really got into it. I'm used to the UK and the huge barren time between summer holiday season and then Christmas, the fall is just one long eternal wait of ever darkening days and bugg*r all to look forward to

Thanksgiving is the start of the cooking season for me. I have to cook the dishes I am taking to the inlaws at an ungodly hour, then get to their house to help with the rest of the cooking.

I friggin hate cooking! I so wish I was born male.

I am peeling apples for pies, right now! Of all the seasons, fall cooking is the best. Ever cook roasted parsnips?

Happy Thanksgiving!
