Have any of you tried online dating?

I'm on www.FarmersOnly.com right now and enjoying it... I tried EHarmony and did NOT! The matches they sent me were not what I was looking for and even when I tried to talk to them you had to go through so much to finally really communicate!

FarmersOnly so far seems like people who are into what I am into as far as animals and the quieter life, but I am just curious if anybody here ended up marrying someone they met online?

I found FarmersOnly because my friend married a guy she met on there!!!

I've sometimes considered online dating or escort sites but always decided not to try them... The only thing I've done is I've mentioned that I'm interested in dating/relationship (or whatever it's in English there) on Facebook.

I don't know, I just think I want to meet the Right One when the time is right, without offering myself and searching offered guys on these sites.

I met my boyfriend online....I think the site was woome. We're not married yet but we're plannin to get married when he gets outta the Army.

I haven't, only because I'm married and those sites weren't around when I was single. If they were I wouldn't have any problem at all with finding love through one. These days if you want to have romance you have to put yourself out there.
My mom met her husband via a travel companions company. It wasn't online at the time but I think it is now. It basically matched singles up who wanted to travel and had the means, but didn't want to go alone. They met, traveled together for a few months, then got married.
I have a newly divorced friend who is looking into them so any input on this thread would be appreciated.

I met my hubby on Match.com. I was divorced for quite a few years and just not meeting anyone so I thought what the heck. I browsed for a while before posting a profile. I had seen someone I knew from work on there so didn't put any pictures up. But, because I am 6' tall and like tattoos and piercings (all in my profile), my hubby decided to send me an email. He knew from our first date I was the one...it took me 2 more to realize he was the one. LOL We've been happily married for 3 years.

But I will say, before that first date, I left his cell phone, work phone, name and place of work with my best friend. I told her where I was going, what time etc and said if she didn't get a text from me that evening after the date, to send out a search party! We had talked on the phone quite a bit before the first face to face meeting but you cannot be too careful!

I met my boyfriend online, not on a dating site though. We've been together for nearly a year and a half now. :)

I, myself have never tried it. I happened to find the man of my dreams through work.
I know someone who's met her boyfriend online. It's turned out really well so far. Tho online dating is not something I would have tried, it is considered a lot more acceptable by society than maybe even a couple years ago. You just have to be careful with it. Use your best judgement to keep yourself safe :)

I met Tyler online. We met on FB through a dating thing and we were friends for a bit before we started dating. Then when we met up we made it ofical because we liked eachother to much to not give it a chance :)

I tried it a couple years ago, but it was because my friends harassed me to. I wasn't ready to date yet. If my current boyfriend and I don't work out I'll probably try it again though. Seemed like a good way to meet some new people.

YES! My hubby and I met on OKCupid...we met for lunch, and it was love at first sight! I had been arried twice before, and was just interested in dating, not marriage. But, when I saw Garth, it was like " Oh, THERE you are! I've been looking all over for you!" I KNEW him. And it wasn't like I have ever experienced before. I know now that I have never been in love before now. It felt scary and weird and odd...but oh, so right! There are a few songs that I think express it best...they pretty much sum it up..."If this is love, I must be doing something wrong" And "Love should never feel like this..."
