I'm 6'1" and Casper is 15.3...we fit together very well...

Im 5'2"

I've always ridden between 13.3 and 14.3 hands. My moms gelding is 15 and he feels tall to me. I feel like a midget on him. My new mare is 15 or 15.1 and she feels huge to me, with a ginormous stride. Although now that im heavier, I feel better riding a bigger horse.

I rode a 16 hand horse a few years back, and I was actually a little nervous. (Then again, he hadnt been ridden in a few years so it could have been that) after a few rides I was more comfortable on him.

My lease mare is only 14 and we fit together well.

My DH is 6'3". Unfortunately, my 13.2 hh mare is the only horse I have ever owned that I am positive I could trust w him, but I feel he is too big for her...I just can't allow it, maybe I am too protective. UGH!

I understand - I won't let my husband ride my little mare either. Even though we're the same height, he's quite a bit heavier than I am. Not that he really wants to ride her anyway, though.

I'm a 5'2'' girl and I have a 17hh horse[who's being sold soon]. Just the other day I tore a big hole in the butt of my pants trying to get on him.

I'm 5'2" and the horse I loan is 15.3 hh so pretty evenly matched?
I want to buy my own horse but I'm totally split for size.
On the one hand we were going to get a horse between 16-17hh so that my boyfriend could loan the horse from me.
But he was unsure if he even will now, so I'm swaying towards a 14-15hh horse because I prefer the smaller horses.
So, it's either going to be me on a 17hh horse or my 6'1" partner on a little 14.2 :P

I'm five foot even! My horse is 15.3 and too tall for me. I can't mount from the ground and have a tough time getting my legs wrapped around her in jumper length stirrups.

My daughter is 5' and rides a 16.3hh paint :) I am shorter at 5'2 but would have loved being as tall as my 5'11" sister in law!

I'm 5'9" with super long legs. I ride anything that's 14.3 or higher without looking too ridiculous! I feel most comfortable with a 16h horse though.
