Help me pick a wall colour for my new room!

Some of you may know from another thread that I am redoing my bedroom.

Right now it is horrible, none of the furniture matches, the wall colour is horrid & it's a mess. I have taken on the challenge to redo my bedroom this summer so I can motivate myself to keep it clean all the time.

I have slowly been picking up some items here and there and gathering some old ones. So far, this is what I've got:


I'm absolutely in love with this comforter!


These are pillows I had before but never really used. I thought they looked good with the comforter.


The curtains I had before, I thought they looked good with the grey pillow. (And of course, the infamous electric blue walls ECK!)


Some frames I bought for a wall I wanted to do.


Here is the colour of the bed set I'm planning to buy from somebody on kijiji. I think it's gorgeous.

Some things I still need to get:
•black sheets & pillow covers
•wall decals
•chairs
•bed set
•paint
•misc. Decor

So this is where I need your help, given the main colours of my bedding & decor; what colours do you think my walls should be?

I've had a couple friends say that brown/beige colours would look good but I personally think that the colour scheme is a bit to dreary for my taste. Who knows, it might look really good though. I love purples and pinks, but I don't know if it would be too much.




Help me pick a colour :)
*also, my room is very small so whatever colour would help open up the room.

Don't do brown! You will hate it!
I got to choose what color my room would be a few years back and my Mom told me to go with a brown so I could do a western theme... I totally hate it and the only reason SOME of the things in my room go along with it is because I have two browns on my walls. A light and a dark.
But yea. No brown.
I like the idea of the soft pink! And I LOVE your comforter by the way!

I'm terrible at decor but I do love that bedroom set. It is gorgeous.

Thanks, I'm in love with the bedroom set as well. The only thing that sucks is that my room is extremely small with a horrible door/closet/window layout. So it makes it hard to find furniture that fits. I've never had dressers because I've never been able to make them fit and this set also has a huge one with a mirror. Needless to say, it will be a challenge making it all fit!

Hiya I painted my girlfrends front room in light pink. Behind the sofa bed there is a picture wall which breaks it up that's in purple.
On the light pink I have added some cerise vinal horse decals 2 horses heads each side of the mirror.
People that come round coment how good it looks. I hope this helps.
Also it makes the room lighter amd warm to live in.

I personally think that pink would be too childish for a teenager to have for a room. Unless you have an interior decorator that can make it very tasteful, I think it could end up looking like a 4 year olds room.

A light shade of purple would be okay. But I think a more neutral color would be best. A lighter color too since the room is small. A med-dark color will be overwhelming.
