Nah. John started calling Bradley 'Ricky Bobby' because he was always in fast forward every place he went. I know - fast forward for a tortoise, haha. But they honestly can get moving if they want. They're no horse, but still, they can outrun hubby on good days!!! LOL!!

Mad Max is just Max. He was put out in the turtle pen. We had 4 or 5 of them out there and 2 or 3 found a way out and escaped. I'm sure they're living happily in the back of the property some place. The smallest one that we've had for a couple years is hibernating inside this winter. John kept finding her upside down. At first we thought it was the chickens using her as a frisbee, but John found her upside down after we got rid of the chickies, so I think she was trying to scale the fence and flipping herself. To keep her safe, especially in the winter, we decided to bring her in. We'll put her out again in the spring when she wakes up.

There is another young male out there that may be Max. It's certainly a very social little one, which Max was, but the last time I tried to feed it by hand it wouldn't take the worm from me. He's the only one that we had that ate by hand. So, not sure if he was just outside long enough that he had gotten used to eating on his own or if he was one of the escapees.
