^^ DH asked them "What happened to the telephone?" .. Why not call them and ask them what they are working on and IF THEY NEED ANY HELP??

They looked at him like he was an alien. *sigh*

These folks really have a problem.

I also explained to them that if I caught someone peering through the woods with binoculars, they might be surprised at what was looking back at them ..

I've got teenage daughters .. there will be zero tolerance on peeping POAs .. lol

In the UK staring into peoples house with binoculars is likely to get you on the sex offenders register!

That is just crazy! I would have flipped my lid at that meeting when that was brought up. Who in their right mind thinks that is okay?

We used to live in a subdivision in the city. Final straw for me was when DH bought me my GMC Sierra Crew Cab and proudly parked it in the driveway (it's bright red and he was claiming it to be my Valentine's day gift). I look outside and some !@#$% board members and neighbors are out there with a tape measure, ON MY PROPERTY measuring it! It's not even a long bed but they wanted to make sure it fit in the HOA guidelines for vehicles.

I put our house up for sale and decided that the peeling paint on the porch rail was icky, so I grabbed some sandpaper and the can of touchup paint (that came with the house and was an exact match) sanded it down, was putting on the final coat and the !@#$% board member "group" once again came stomping around and started screeching about how I am not allowed to paint my house without filling out 20 forms and getting THEIR permission.

Oh heck no. All I did was fix a 1ft section of peeling paint! You'd think they would be happy I was maintaining my place but no.......

Goes with the nasty, threatening letter I got AFTER I sold the nightmare about how they were suing me because my lawn had been 2" too long for a month. Gee... maybe if you threatened the actual owner it might get fixed!

Yup, wouldn't move back if you paid me!

I will say though, it's really creepy when the doorbell rings at 8am.... you're like OMG WHO is out there!! It was my neighbor, seems he bought 4x4x8 hay bales with zero plan on how to unload or move them. Love to help but the reason my tractor is sitting out in the middle of the field.... it's out of hydraulic fluid or oil or something... ugh, guess I am off to go figure out why hubby abandoned the tractor, repair it and go move hay.

Well, our POA is about to get a smackdown.

We've contacted and attornery, supplied deed restrictions and the ridiculous forms that they make up that we are supposed to sign that gives them more permissions than are legal.

We were refered to a real estate attorney with specialty in HOA/POA laws...We have, in writing, what is the scope of our POA per the deed restrictions, and how illegal it is for them to be doing some of the things they are doing.

Whoot! Sooooooo.. will be an interesting annual meeting right after DH steps down and explains to all the nice people exactly why ..

    Hehehehehe

    Knowledge is Power folks.
