Holiday gift ideas!

Ok, let's share them.

If you see something really cool, have a great idea, or find a really great deal please share it with us! For instance... Well, I don't have a for instance yet but when I find one, I'll share!

I am putting together a braiding kit for one of the youngsters at the barn that has helped me out over the last year. She is just learning to do these things and does not have her own supplies yet. I even talked a friend (who earns good money braiding) into giving her a lesson.

I am painting wooden horse ornaments for my fellow boarders. Each horse is painted the color of their horse with markings and such. I will also paint the horses name on each ornament before I give them out.

I am also making soap, I have a breyer horse soap making kit and hope to get several small bars inprinted with something horsey. I better get busy with those !

I also love the leather bracelets with the personalized plate, I ordered a few as gifts from State Line tack , they are so nice.

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world.

I love your idea RadHenry!

I am making a couple of Quarter Sheets for my barn buddies (2 of them) and I am making jewlery for their Mothers (My other 2 barn buddies)

For my Bestie, I am making her a browband

And for many others, I am making a whole whop load of horse cookies. I'll be putting them in these tin, silver buckets and adding some hoof picks and a couple of other knick knacks for their horses. I'l wrap it with celophane *sp* and I'll hang them on their stalls with a card saying "Merry Christmas, from Nelson"

I have a candy mold in the shape of horseshoes, and every year the lesson kids get a box of chocolate horseshoes from "their" horse that they ride. This is the mold I have.
