Oh my goodness, I drove home from class last night while that tropical storm was coming through. The cars were doing 30 mph on IH 35 heading to Austin, couldn't see anything, water across the road, thunder and lightning, the real works. I was terrified as it was but to make it worse, when I was just outside of Austin, a big 18 wheeler truck zoomed past me through a puddle of water and literally washed me off the freeway on to the shoulder. Luckily the shoulder was quite wide so I missed the barrier but it was very close.
By the time I got home I was shaking, what is usually a half hour trip took me close close to two hours.
