Im studying a couple things....
The physics and aerodynamics of vane construction and design, and theories of enhancing steerage through position and application of offset and or helical, and their effects on arrow flight.
The other is tuning a dual cam compound bow for optimal performance through alteration of string length, cable length, string & cable twist, and limb harmonics.
Basically, I am designing a new line of arrow vanes for 2013, and helping my string maker build better strings for a couple of the new 2012 hotrod bows that just came on the market last month that he is having trouble making strings for.
And, im also doing some testing for a bow manufacturer on a new cam design that's supposed to be smoother drawing, and substantially faster than most other bows on the market.
If his claims are accurate, he will raise the speed limit of production bows for next season by a big margin....might break the 400fps mark if the strings hold together!
