2 for active use (my army boots and sandals).

Riding boots + shoes for winter riding.

3 or 4 pairs of high-heeled shoes for celebrations.

Few pairs of old, already small or otherwise out of use shoes which I should sell/give/throw away but I haven't managed to do that.

I don't know if I want to count & find out. I love shoes, particularly boots & flip flops. I have a shelf thing with 15 cubby holes, there are at least 3 pairs in each. Then there's the mud room closet that has barn gear, probably 15 pairs of western boots, 2 pairs of field boots, 1 pair of paddock boots, 3 pairs of rubber muck boots, eek....no wonder DH makes a point to say "are you really buying another pair of boots?" when I insist we go to Boot City when visiting his sister.

Just think about it! Remember (you older folks) how the media made a big deal about Imelda Marcos and her thousands of pairs of shoe? Or those pictures of people who have like rotating closets to show each pair of shoe?
I say to myself, "oh, I dont' have anywhere near that many shoes! I am a simple person when it comes to clothes; just what I really need. "

Yeah , right! Including sandals, flip flops, snow boots, slippers, paddock, show or cowboy boots, dress shoes, high heels, running shoes, water socks, I must have 25 pairs of shoes. And that's just ones I actually wear. There are more that are too old and worn out, but I haven't thrown them away.

YOU?
Haha
Like you I have an assortment of various shoes, all of which were bought BC (before child.)

Nowadays all I buy (and wear) are work boots/shoes. I have about 3 pair of those tan construction type of boots men wear (only when I can find them small enough) 3 pair of Mucks boots with various treads, 3 pair of super cheap sneakers, all covered in poop, of course. About three super duper winter work boots....
Yeah... my feet are sooo pretty from all of those!
I think the last time I wore heals was in... um... ah....(thinking)..... ??

Leopard print flats, metallic flats, black flats, fashion boots, rubber boots, cowboy boots, "hippie" sandals, running shoes, John Deere Romeos, DV skate shoes, laced Toms, Vans.
12 or so pairs (I might be forgetting some)
Hey, between my horse chores and riding and long boarding obsession, I require a bunch of shoes. ;P
