    Okay, I think I misestimated a bit. Looking at our roof, perhaps 30-35cm (1-1.4ft) would be better. On the other hand, I think I'd get more deeper results if I went for example to a forest close to us so I'm still not sure.

    This has been a pretty snowy winter anyways so I decide to add some photos taken today here:

    Out of my window... That drift in the foreground the in pic is nice, our roof was cleaned a bit and that snow dropped just in front of my window. I estimate height of the drift is a bit over a meter.

    It's calling for a snowstorm in my area tonight....they think we may bet over a foot like we did last year, but we'll see.
