We don't get hurricanes here but we do hear of the damage they cause. I landed in Toronto over the weekend and they were having a lot of bad weather there, we were told some of the left overs, outside of the hurricane. I could not imagine dealing with those or tornados.
i've delt with both a tornado and a hurricane, a tornado is by far the scarriest thing i've ever been through, at least with a hurricane you have days to get ready for.....and yes liveing in the next state over from you, the weather has been wired
Reporting in from Northern Arkansas.....We were without power for 3 days. We just got it back tonight. (tues nite) Those winds were aweful. We had SO many trees down!!! Luckily, all of our property was a ok. I have 1 section of fencing that will need mending once I get all the branches and sticks out of it. (creek overflowed its banks and deposited a BUNCH of debris) Cars, houses, kids and horses weathered the storm just fine though.
