I am really hating my life right now

My job hours got cut by more than half, I had to sell my horse as a result of that. I can't find a second job anywere, no one is hiring. I feel worthless, I feel like a failure. Every job I look at im not qualified for, or its been taken. Depression here I come . I now know how over half of america feels.

Keep your chin up, Hun. Just keep on keepin' on. Throw yourself into work, prove you are the best darn worker they got, and the best darn worker anyone could ever have. Tell them whatever you don't know, you'll learn. Just keep applying yourself. *hugs*

Thanks ricci, *hugs* I have tried, they all want someone who has done the job or a very similar job before. And its not fair because all of those jobs I could learn very easily, but they don't give me the chance.

It is not the end of the world. Canada and the US are still slightly in the recession, so jobs will not be as easy to come by. There are going to be a lot more qualified people going for the same job that you are wanting. Just be patient. Keep putting out resumes. Put resumes out for jobs that you don't really want because they might be crappy now, but could lead to something better....or be a second job for now. Also, students are back in school, so a lot more part time jobs are harder to come by as they have filled them up.

Be glad that you still have a job, even if you don't have the amount of hours that you used to.

I'm in the same boat. I've been looking for a job since September, and I managed to find one temporary job for the month of October at a pumpkin patch, but since then haven't been able to find anything. I'm putting out applications anywhere and everywhere, I have friends keeping their ears open for me as well. I do have a few training clients that give me a few extra bucks, but its definitely not enough. I was working a job where board for my horse was part of the payment for my working, but now I've found her a place where the owner is very nice about letting me pay board as I can, but I've got her up for sale because I just don't have the money, but she's a big project horse, so I probably am not going to be able to find a home for her very easily. Just keep putting in applications, and where you have applied, keep calling back, or going in, to check on the status of your application. You'll be more memorable if you are the one who goes back in, or calls, instead of just putting in an application and moving on. Good luck. Hope you find something soon.

Oh, I'm sorry . Even I undestand the way you feel, try still remember that you aren't a failure, sometimes life just throw somehthing like that on your face even you're all good person. Like said, keep applying. I'm sure you'll find something sooner or later.
